Herren House B&B
94 East Street, Waynesville, NC 28786
The Herren House was constructed originally as a boarding house in 1897 by M.J. Ownby, who named it the Savannah. It was given the name Herren House around 1918 by its second owner, Mollie Herren, and her daughters, Jessica and Lucile. The Herren House has been in continuous operation since 1897. With many of it's original features, the Herren House has a very warm feeling with a gentle flow through it year round. You can spend your time relaxing on the front porch, in the gazebo or gardens. Good conversation and laughter fill the air just as they did many years ago.
Michelle Briggs began operations of the Herren House after successfully running a larger Inn in Hendersonville for several years. She has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality business and she can't wait for the opportunity to share it with you. Together with her husband Phillip her mission is to uphold the historic presence of the building while also providing you with superior services during your stay. Enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine while you take a stroll through the beautiful garden area. You are sure to have a pleasant experience, leaving with a fond memory.

Herren House B&B Review
"Michelle runs a fantastic Herren B & B, greeting us upon arrival with a glass of wine. We were lucky to have a corner room with sunlight coming from two sides of the house. The room was convenient, clean, and decorated to make you feel truly at home. Breakfast was delicious, and we even had our eggs served the way each of us wanted it. I am not surprised that Herren B & B is in the top three as rated by the local chamber."
